United Airlines’ CEO (Oscar Munoz) issued a new statement on Tuesday afternoon, offering a renewed apology for the incident in which a passenger was dragged off a flight after refusing to give up his seat. In the statement the CEO acknowledged the “outrage anger (and) disappointment” over the incident. “I share all of those sentiments, and one above all: my deepest apologies for what happened.” He added, “I want you to know that we take full responsibility and we will work to make it right.” He promised a “thorough review” policies for providing incentives to volunteers, handling oversold situations, and its partnership with airport authorities.
