Emily has been the Executive Director of Ladew Topiary Gardens for more than 21 years, during which time she has overseen the creation of the native Butterfly House; restoration of four of Ladew’s historic garden rooms; historic restorations of the Drawing Room, Primary Bedroom, Oval Library, Kitchen and Tea House; and enhancements to the Nature Walk. During her tenure Ladew has had a significant expansion of programming to meet the interests and needs of close to 50,000 visitors annually and three-fold growth in organizational budget.
Emily came to Ladew following a career in fundraising for a variety of nonprofits in Baltimore and Washington. A Maryland native, Emily grew up in the Baltimore suburbs and now lives in Monkton with her husband David, four dogs and her very own ever-expanding gardens.
